I'm Steve Lakomski and I am a graphic artist currently living and working in Western New York State. I have years of experience designing for clients large and small in both freelance and professional settings. I have completed projects ranging from branding initiatives, to websites, to interface design, to 3D modeling, and much more. I suppose it could be said that I am a jack of all trades when it comes to design and I am always on the lookout for new opportunities to expand my knowledge. Contained within this site are examples of my work that serve to showcase my breadth of skills and experience.

These pieces include logo designs, design for print production, and other branding materials. Most of these designs were created using a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, though I am experienced in the majority of the Adobe Creative Suite. My process typically starts with rough sketches that are then created digitally and fine tuned to meet the clients needs.

I have been honing my Web Design skills for some time and all of the Web projects that I have completed have been coded by hand without the use of templating services. I have designed sites for the purpose of listing services as well as sites with ecommerce elements. I also served in the creation of several UI designs for mobile and 3D environments. The last project below in a video game that I developed. The art, sound, code, and concept were all of my own creation.

One of my biggest passions is drawing, and I love to turn simple drawings into colorfully rendered illustrations. The images below were all created using Adobe Illustrator. I enjoy creating and designing characters, some of which can be seen below. These all serve as experiments with line usage and color.

I am always open to new opportunities and new challenges. If you find that my work and experience are just what you are looking for on your team please contact me at the email address or phone number listed below. For a more detailed summary of my experience, click here to view my resume.
